Connect. Inspire. Change.

How do you share your story with the world? How do you engage and motivate people to give? A photographer skilled in the art of visual storytelling can change everything. Meaning increased funding, engagement, and success.

We all can do something to make this world a better place.

Behind The Lens | Lee Bartran Photography | Humanitarian & Non-Profit Photographer | Visual Storyteller

Behind The Lens

I’m Lee Bartran……a Colorado native, mom of seven, and deep-thinking introvert with a passion for change. I believe that together, we have the power to make the world better and that raising the voices of women and children is essential in that mission.

My journey as a humanitarian photographer began in China, documenting the resilience of orphaned children with disabilities and urgent medical needs. For over a decade, I ran my own nonprofit, immersing myself in the challenges, heartache, and profound joy that define NGO work. This path taught me that success requires an unwavering commitment, far beyond the bounds of a typical 9-to-5—it’s a life’s calling, demanding every ounce of resilience and heart.

It takes a special kind of person to run an NGO…. and I understand the work you do.

Lee’s understanding of the non-profit world along with being a talented photographer is a rare and powerful combination. Her ability to quickly see how a story can be told while on assignment, made for efficient use of our time together. Her friendliness, dedication and hard working attitude made it such a pleasure to work with her.
